Elon Reeve Musk (born June 28, 1971) is a technology entrepreneur, engineer and investor. He co-founded Zip2 and X.com (later PayPal), founded SpaceX in 2002 and joined Tesla in 2004. Musk is known for ambitious projects: reusable rockets (Falcon 9), Starship, mass-market electric vehicles (Model S, 3, X, Y), brain–computer research (Neuralink), tunneling (The Boring Company) and acquiring X (Twitter). He moved from South Africa to Canada and later the United States, and has become one of the world's most prominent — and polarizing — tech figures.
